We will not sheet rock or do any finish work in the unfinished basement without going through the proper channels and obtaining the proper permits from the county and state to complete the basement when we have the funds to do so. It is our understanding that permits are good for up to a year and can be transferred from the contractor to the homeowner when construction is complete. I now and in the future take full responsibility for following the correct procedures to finish the unfinished basement and also take full responsibility for the work that has already been done.
