A Parking Lot Storm Drainage Analysis was received and reviewed by Public Works and a
response delivered to DCD on April 29, 1999. A copy of the review IDC was faxed to Kurtis
Carpenter who represents the North Mason Eagles(NME) organization on May 4, 1999.
Public Works review of the
drainage plan found that flow attenuation in the form of
proposed g
downstream erosion control discharge rates is being required by WSDOT as the recipient of
runoff from this project.
The site plan delivered to Public Works with work order#9933 indicates a pond is located or is
to be created between the proposed parking area and State Highway 3. The sketch doesn't
indicate whether the pond is existing or proposed, or give any indication of its dimensions.
At this time,Public Works is awaiting delivery of a revised stormwater plan that either conforms
to WSDOT's downstream erosion control discharge rates, or a plan developed by an engineer
indicating how runoff is intended to be retained on the site.
