Dear Ms. Marken:
We have received your request for review of the above proposal and offer the
following comments:
The location of the existing access shown on the submittal is acceptable
to the Department, however, we are unable to locate a current road
approach permit for the access. The applicant has been provided with
an instructional letter and permit application which should be submitted
to the District 3 Transportation Planning office at PO Box 9327,
Olympia, WA 98504-9327, Attn: Pete Lorenzo. Following receipt of the
permit application, we will issue a road approach permit.
Additional surface water runoff caused by the building addition and
directed to the State highway right-of-way must not exceed
pre-development runoff.
The Department will not be responsible for noise attenuation if the subject
property experiences noise levels in excess of the maximum allowed for the
proposed land use.
Advertising signs visible from an adjacent State highway must comply with
the State Scenic Vistas Act of 1971, which is administered by the
Department. For information regarding the signing regulations, contact
the District 3 Traffic Operations office at 753-7221.
Thank you for the opportunity to review the proposal. If there are any
questions regarding our comments, please contact Pete Lorenzo at 753-1901.
Sincerely,
PA J. HAMMOND, P.E.
