Tami,
The grading plan prepared for the proposed Lester Krueger on Mason County Tax Parcel No.
12332-50-00007 has been received and reviewed by Public Works.
The plan indicates that the proposed grading will be accomplished in the vicinity of the tract's
northerly boundary. The County's grading Ordinance requires the top of cut slopes to be kept
back from adjacent properties 1/5 of the slope height, but not to be less than 2', and a maximum
of 10'. Aside from maintaining the required minimum setback from neighboring properties, the
proposed work raises no concerns or issues with Public Works. Claimed grading quantities
appear to be reasonable and their acceptance is recommended.
Erosion and Sediment Control features need to be implemented during construction, and
maintained until permanent site stabilization has occurred.
The main concern perceived from reviewing the grading plans is that neighboring properties and
State waters be protected from stormwater runoff impacts.
Please feel free to contact me at County extension 461 if you have any questions regarding these
comments,or if you feel any features need further discussion or attention.
Sincerely,
-9
