Crazy Hill Garden & Botanicals LLC
Elton Busby Michael Kerkes, owners
Project: Crazy Hill Garden & Botanicals LLC, opening a boutique style nursery with associated
retail products in a pre-existing commercial setting.
Timeline: As soon as possible. We desperately need to be open within the first week of March
in order to avoid certain financial ruin.
Scope of work:
-We are painting the interior walls and ceiling of the 168 sq ft space we are renting.
-We intend to build a cash wrap/sales counter and a handful of product display cabinets/
tabels.
-We are fencing in the upper terrace of the section of this parcel #that we are renting to
provide security for our business and products. The fence will be less than 7' tall and will be
comprised of a combination of 4-5" wood fence posts, stretched chainlink, a custom built
lockable gate and two standard swing style gates (one for access to the newly installed
disability parking spot and one for general and emergency traffic.
-We will be building/installing a series of wood/metal display tables for our plant products.
-We will be hanging a printed vinyl sign bearing our name, on the upper front facade of the N 6T-'
building. Qom^^ lam"
-We will be swapping out the 4 outdate, fluorescent overhead light fixtures in the proposed
"office/retail" space with new flush-fit, energy efficient LED light fixtures.
-We are providing a dedicated disability parking spot where none on the property existed
before.
-We will be installing 3 signs to that effect. One upon immediate arrival on our driveway
indicating disability parking to the rear. One right next to that spot indicating how far to go back
and direction of the spot. Finally one at the head of the spot.
-We will be swapping out door handles to paddle style handles, which requires new keys for
myself and the landlord who has the office space on the other side of the wall to us. One set of
these handles will be on the "employee only" restroom. If we are permitted to use the restroom
in the adjacent office held by the landlord. We have their permission but if permits do not allow
it then we skip this part.
-We will be installing grab handles in the restroom, it already has paddle style knobs for the
faucet. *again, if we are permitted to use the restroom in the adjacent office that the landlord
holds
-We will be leasing a permanent "Port-a-potty" that has wheelchair access if we are unable to
use the restroom in the adjacent office.
-1 have purchased a point of sale system that will allow a tablet and credit card reader to be
taken down the stairs to a customer who may be in a wheel chair. *permanent ramp is being
planned but we do not have an addtional $3-5k to have one installed just yet, by summers end
Crazy Hill continued
we will have one built. There will be no other employees besides myself and the other owner
until 2022 at the earliest.
-Installing an additional set of handrails on the existing stairs that is closer to the door
-The cash wrap/sales counter is being built with one section of the counter being no higher
than 34" off the ground and at least 30" long (for customers that require a lower surface on
which to do business), this cash wrap/counter is also designed in such a way that if a future
employee is in a wheelchair they will have the required room to enter the space behind the
counter and turn around unobstructed (minimum 5' turning radius as required by the ADA).
-We are installing display garden/beds and containers on the property.
-We are denoting up to 5 parking spaces on the lower terrace of the section of this parcel #
that we are renting *pending county requirements for parking space number and placement.
