A review of your proposed garage indicates a definite
bedroom capacity.
From the Environmental Health department perspective, we
must evaluate proposals in light of potential septic
system loading. The drainfield installed on 10-12-84
was permitted for a two-bedroom residence. It is my
understanding that your existing residence was actually
finished as a three-bedroom dwelling.
Since your garage proposal has a clear cut capacity for
at least one added bedroom, you will be required to
upgrade your drainfield. Your other option is a
modification of the garage design to eliminate any
potential bedroom usage.
