III 426 W.Cedar P.O. Box 186 Shelton,Washington 98584 (360)427-9670 BUILDING PARKS& RECREATION FAIR/CONVENTION CENTER ADMINISTRATION March 29 1995 John Underwood NE 40 Salty Dr Belfair, WA 98528 RE: Variance request Dear Mr. Underwood, Our office received a completed sideyard variance request form for your site at Beard's Cove. In order to process the variance request some additional information will be needed. A completed plot plan showing where all structures and improvements are located, including the proposed construction and a letter of hardship which is a letter written by yourself stating the reason that you feel the variance should be granted and why the structure must encroach into the required setback. Once these items are submitted to the building official along with a $15.00 processing/administrative fee, the request will be reviewed. The process will take approximately 1 -2 weeks from the date received. At this time I would also like to mention that the only permit on file for any new construction at your site is for a foundation only. In order to proceed any further, a building permit with structural plans will need to be submitted and approved. Enclosed is a plot plan page to submit with the letter of hardship and fee for the variance and I have also enclosed a building permit application and requirement handbook for construction beyond the foundation. If you should have any questions, please feel free to call me at (360)427- 9670 ext 356, Monday-Friday between the hours of 9:00am-5:00pm.
