Our responses are as follows: 1. Septic: Applicant has proposed a new onsite septic system to serve the new building and employees. Septic Design will need to be submitted and approved prior to EH approval of any building permit. Septic design will need to be designed by a licensed onsite septic designer or engineer and address flows and waste strengths from the proposed facility. Septic Designers List attached. We also require all septic systems on this parcel to have a satisfactory Operations and Maintenance inspection completed within the last year. Any existing septic systems in the vicinity of the proposed project should be shown on site plan for EH to verify all required setbacks are maintained. Response: No new septic system or additional employees are proposed for the new facility. Sanitary flows from the new building will be routed to the existing conveyance systems that terminates at the existing drainfield east of the office are at the entry to the site off of Lynch Road. The existing septic system that will serve the bathrooms and two other rooms with plumbing fixtures in the new building has been inspected by AAA Septic LLC. The Septic Service Reports are attached for your review. 2. Water: Applicant has an existing Group A water system. The water adequacy form will need to be signed by the water system manager. The incomplete form is attached. To approve this permit,I will need the following two things: -A signed water adequacy form(attached here)by Northwest Water Systems.I believe you can request this online: nttp t m com/wat r-re0uest -Lastly,'It is my understanding that the Taylors probably have a discharge permit with Dept.of Ecology for the floor drains which I would guess will empty into that lagoon on site.We request documentation from Ecology(email is fine)that they approve of these additional flows from this new wet processing facility. I don't see much of a reason to meet in person tomorrow but will be available if needed. If you can provide these last two items(email is fine), I can approve for Environmental Health. Good morning Todd and Rhonda, 1 I'm reaching out on behalf of Taylor Shellfish regarding the wet processing building permit application referenced above. As previously mentioned, the new processing facility will not add employees, but rather re-allocate existing employees. Therefore, the existing septic system in use will be adequate for the additional building as there will not bean increase in effluent.Attached for you information are older records illustrating where the sewage from this new building will drain. The new wet processing facility will drain to the existing manhole and sewer pump constructed with the wet processing building directly north of this project.(See-Pages from 15-064 As-Built Drawings"attachment). The pump will convey effluent through the previously constructed forcemain to the sewer lateral serving the existing processing plant. This lateralwill take effluent to the existing septic tank and drain field referenced in attachment 111997-05-05-SWG97-00252-SWG Application Design". Hopefully that helps clear things up. I understand Ken and Austin will stop by tomorrow for a meeting at 10:30. I'll plan on calling into help resolve any outstanding issues. Thankyou, Chloe P.
