Dear Mr. Sanchez,
This letter is in response to your Initial Review Questionnaire (IRQ). You are proposing
to open a gun shop in an existing retail building currently used as a second hand store on
tax parcel 12329-43-00220 (site address 23710 NE State Route 3, Belfair). According to
the Mason Count Comprehensive Plan this parcel is located in a portion of the count
Y P P p Y
that has been designated as an Urban Growth area. According to the Mason County
Development Regulations retail is a permitted land use in the Urban Growth Area.
Because you are bringing in a new business into an existing location you will need to
complete a Tenant Review Application. This permit is done to ensure that everything
meets code each time a business changes hands or closes and a new business is opened. I
have included the application form for your convenience. Any questions about this
process should be directed to the Building Department. You can contact the Building
Department by calling (360) 427-9670 extension 284.
If you will be remodeling the structures on site to accommodate the new business (or
constructing new buildings), your first step towards applying for a commercial building
permit is to have a Pre-Submission Conference. If you have any questions about the Pre-
Submission Conferences please call Kristin Riebli at(360)427-9670 extension 281.
If you have any further questions, please contact me at (360) 427-9670 extension 366.
