Hi Debbera and Mindi: I wanted to contact you both right away to let you know that Matt has retained AustinCina Architects to assist them in resolving the code issues that have been outlined in the various documents provided to us.We met on site yesterday and did an initial walk-through of the property to determine how to make the buildings and site comply with those code issues outlined. Because they do not have existing as-built documents,we will have to prepare those ourselves in order to begin developing the documents requested by the County. Will the County allow One Ball Jay additional time in order to complete the work necessary? How can we help you to make this go smoother? In order to help Matt,we will be developing a timeline for both design and construction and will forward a copy to both of you as soon as we have it prepared. If you have any questions or need anything from us,please do not hesitate to contact me either by phone(253.531.4300)or email. Thank you both for your time and patience on this matter. Ms.Donovan left with questions answered and information that will be needed for the building department and fire marshal to review and approve the project. In addition we discussed the storage container and the need for permit, structural analysis and code evaluation since the storage container will be used to store hazardous materials. The addition may cause the site to require a stormwater system. Mr.John Sliva,Mason County Public Works engineer has been contacted and should get a hold of Ms.Donovan to discuss. A change in the building footprint will also require planning dept.approval. When the revised site plan is received it will be forwarded to the planning dept.for approval. Based upon the meeting and information needed we agreed that proposed plans and information will be submitted to our office for review prior to January 1,2008 and that the Fire Marshal will continue to monitor existing conditions. When we spoke in January of this year I stated to you that a progress inspection was required to be scheduled. I apologize for the confusion during our conversation, but what I meant was the building department needs to do a site visit to document progress. I see there was a progress over the phone. This was not my intent however it is documented. Please schedule a"site visit" progress inspection to be completed by one of our inspectors. Attached below is the entry I made in our permit tracking system on the day we spoke: Owner will be sending a request for extension letter in.It will be dated for starting on 8-20-10 and expires on 2-20-11. I will also try to reach you by phone. This is a quick update on our business and plans for weathering out the economic storm. I am veryha to say we are working with Wells Fargo as our new bank and the did PPY Y 9 9 Y renew some of our business loans. As you know, it's very tough to get the banks to loan anyone money much less our business with a huge loss the past year. We are holding steady for the moment and traveling to the necessary trade show events in plans for next ( year's sales. My plans for remodeling the south bay room in our front building is on hold v for Northwest Snowboards, we just don't have the money to pay all the bills much less rn open a new store in Belfair at this time. It's a little scary to tell you the truth with the way sales have dropped off. Our contractor Devon Rainey and I have met and are planning the most cost effective budget plan for bringing the building up to code. Would it be possible to get another extension on the permits please? And would it be possible to reach some type of agreement for the retail space obligations? If at all possible, could we postpone the remodel of the office for the retail portion of the permit until we see an improvement in sales, or, come up with some other options for it to Q , comply? 1 Everyone is still on board for the shop in Belfair; all the fixtures for the store are in storage, it's just a bit unnerving to be extended more than we already are right now. I hope we start to see some good news shortly. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Fire inspection, and electrical inspection with permits.
