To our knowledge, the contract documents comply with RCW 19.27. If you know of any complication, please contact this office. 2 . There will be no access from the old Belfair Highway adjacent to the building site. 3. It was our understanding that the wood shingles would be installed per our agreement, letter of May 25, and UBC Standard No. 32-14, not 34-14 as your letter requests . 4. Our calculations of the horizontal attic area show that it is less than 3000 sq . ft. , not requiring a draft stop . Box 186 Shelton, WA 98584 Re: Olympia Federal Savings & Loan; Belfair Branch Dear Vic: We would like to inform you that the problems caused due to the discovery of debris under the new Olympia Federal Savings & Loan Branch in Belfair have been resolved. This was done by the following: Total removal of all debris under the building location and replacement with compacted 95/o maximum dry density fill. Upon completion of this we authorized the contractor to continue to construct the building on top of this fill . We would like to advise you that we did acquire Cascade Testing from Silverdale to inspect the compaction of this fill. We trust that this will be sufficient to inform you of the way in which we corrected the problem. If you have any further questions or requests, please notify us. The plans will be approved as noted: 1. Submit to this office and addendum showing compliance with Barrier Free Design Standards. (R.C.W. 19.27) 2. There shall be no access from the old Belfair highway except at the northerly corner of the supermarket site. 3. The wood shingles be installed as per U.B.C. Standard 34-14. 4. A draft stop be installed as per Sec. 3205(b) . A building; permit may be issued at anytime, but we do ask for a letter confirming your understanding of the above before construction has progressed substantially. Sincerely, Victor D. It is of concern, however, that the access to the old Belfair Highway be sealed off from the bank prior to opening. I am referring to the existing access closest to the drive-in window at this time. Although Jim' s initial response was to close the access off now, he did condescend to closure in two months on the first of May to give you time to get the heavy construction done and the equipment out of the parking lot so the new access can be used.
