As I mentioned to you on the phone, our firm has been retained by the Theler Organization to develop a master plan for the proposed Pacific Northwest Salmon Center at the Theler Wetlands in Belfair Washington. The following is a summary of our conversation regarding Fire Department requirements for the new facility: • Access for emergency vehicles must be provided to within 150'of any point on the building. A 20'wide emergency vehicle access lane is required. • Existing conditions in the area would have to be reviewed to determine the need for new fire hydrants. • Fire hydrants must have 3'of clearance on all sides. • Post indicator valves are required. • The Fire Department will need to review the final plans for conformance with the access standards. If you have any questions, comments, revisions,or if you can think of some information that I have omitted, please do not hesitate to contact me. Once again, thank you for your time.
