The septic drainfield for parcel 419240000010 is located on the neighboring lot(parcel 419240000020), but the septic easement was not submitted in the permit packet. Please submit a copy of the approved septic easement to Environmental Health. If an easement does not exist, please submit a notarized and recorded Declaration of Covenant for OSS(if both parcels have the same owners). Form enclosed. Per Mason County Public Health On-Site Standards Onsite Systems with Greater than 2,000 GPD and Less than 3,500 GPD Shall Require: All of the Recommended Standards and Guidance for pressure distribution must be followed. The required drainfield area shall be split into two 50 percent drainfelds.A third 50 percent drainfield shall be constructed initially in order to provide for alternation (long term resfing).A reserve area equal to an additional 50 percent is required. Where facilities have an automatic resting cycle like a campground, the requirement for three 50 percent drainfelds may not be necessary.A 100 percent reserve is required when a third 50 percent drainfield is not required. The design flow for this repair is 2080 gpd, sized at the high end of the EPAs Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems guidelines of 7-16 gpd/employee. If you want to leave the proposed design as is, please submit a local waiver using the EPA manual and higher-end design flow as justification. If you have questions or concerns let us know.
