RE: Site Inspection for 230 NE Old Belfair Hwy
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Beals: p
The Mason County Department of Community Development has
visited the above site several times to identify why the wetland Cj
that exists on your site is increasing in size. You requested a
site inspection to determine what uses could be proposed and the
set-backs for those uses .
We have determined that there is a beaver dam located to the
north of your site. The beavers have constructed a dam
approximately 40 yards up stream from the culvert that runs
underneath Old Belfair Hwy. We have tried to make contact with
the Department of Fish and Wildlife to have them review the site
for possible ways to relieve you of the increasing size of the
wetland/beaver pond. As of today's date we have not received any
information regarding their site inspection of the beaver dam.
It would be difficult to give you information pertaining to
uses on your site until we have all the information.
We will keep you informed as to their determination
regarding the beaver dam, once we receive it. If you have any
