Upon review of our records, the Mason County Permit Assistance Center has identified that
your building permit application has been approved and ready to issue since 06/06/2006. Once
approved, permits are valid for 6 months.
If you intend to obtain this permit, you must make arrangements to do so within ten (10)
working days from the date of this letter. If we do not hear from you within the that time, your
permit will be cancelled and a building inspector will make a site visit. In the event that your
project has been completed and a permit was never issued, you will be assessed penalties as
allowed under Mason County Ordinance 37-96.
If your project has been cancelled or if you wish to withdraw the permit, please notify me as

Complete the Change in Tenant Application and return with a floor plan,site plan,septic pumper's report,septic records and
fee to the Mason County Permit Center,P.O.Box 186,Shelton,WA 98584. Evaluation of the Change in Tenant Application will involve
staff members from the Building,Fire Marshal,Environmental Health,Planning and Public Works offices who will identify compliance
requirements. This application is intended for tenant change only. If construction or remodeling is proposed or required a building
permit will be necessary. Upon approval the permit will be issued to the applicant/tenant. After the permit is issued,schedule an
inspection by calling(360)427-7262.Upon satisfactory inspection a Certificate of Occupancy will be issued and must be posted in a
conspicuous place on the premises.

Dear Rick,
I understand that you wish increase the employees at Belfair Marine from 3 to 6 employees.
The system I designed in 1993 anticipated that the flow to the drainfield would be
approximately 100 gallons per day. Based on recent EPA Risk Management Research for On
Site Waste Water Treatment and Disposal Systems (Copy of Table Enclosed) a waste water
flow of 15 gallons per day per employee would be the anticipated flow to the system. Based on
a flow of 15 gallons per day per employee, the system should be able to process the waste
from 6 employees with no problems.

3.3.3 Variability of wastewater flow
Variability of wastewater flow is usually characterized by daily and hourly minimum and maxim
flows that occur during the day. The intermittent occurrence of individual wastewater-generatin
in wastewater flows from residential or nonresidential establishments. This variability can affec
potentially causing hydraulic overloads of the system during peak flow conditions. Figure 3-3 it
wastewater flows for a typical residential dwelling.
