Any corrections, changes or alterations required by a Mason County Buil ing Inspector shall be made prior to requesting additional inspections. The failure to request a final inspection or to obtain approval will be documented in the legal property records on file with Mason County as being non-compliant with Mas ounty ordinances and building regulations. Please contact the local fire district for more information and inspection.11 X The applicant has resubmitted a change to the approved plans showing that the maximum storage height of the hay will be at or below 12 feet at all times. An NFPA 13 fire sprinkler system will only be required if this height is exceeded. A separate permit application is required to be submitted for and approved prior to the installa ign of the system. X 8) PER TITLE 14 MASON COUNTY BUILDING CODE- CHAPTER 14.17, STANDARDS FOR FIRE APPARATUS ACCESS ROADS - 14.17.110.- A fire apparatus access road in excess of 14% grade and more than 150' to new residential or commercial structures will require an automatic fire sprinkler system in lied. Contact the Mason County Fire Marshal at (360) 427-9670, extension 273, for further information. x 9) The use, handling and storage of hazardous materials or flam le and combustible liquids in excess of 10 gallons is not allowed without the approval of the Mason County Fire Marshal. X 10) Provisions for surface/subsurface drainage control must be implemented with new construction or development on site and MUST NOT adversely impact adjacent parcels. Under the requirements of Mason County Stormwater Ordinance, either private ditches and drains will meet requirements of the stormwater ordinance or prior approval will be granted to use an existing utility and drainage easement dedicated for that specific purpose. For further information regarding this ordinance and the REQUIREMENT to obtain an ACCESS PERMIT for the installation/construction of a driveway or access connecting from a Mason County Road, Contact the Mason County Public Works Department prior to construction at Ext 450. For any construction which is proposed to be located within 25' of a Mason County road right of way, it is suggested to contact that office to review future planned work which may affect your project. X 11) All permits expire 180 days aft r permit issuance, or 180 days after the last inspection activity is performed. The Building Official may extend the time for action for a period not exceeding 180 days, upon the receipt of a written extension request indicating that circumstances beyond the control of the permit r have prevented action from being taken. No more than one extension may be granted. X 12) All approved plant are required to be on-site for inspection purposes. If inspection is called for and plans are not on site, Approval WILL NOT be granted. X 15) Recyclable materials & Solid aste Storage: Space shall be provided for the storage of recycled materials and solid waste. The storage area shall be designed to m e needs of the occupancy, efficiency of pick-up, and shall be available to occupants and haulers.X 16) This structure i pprove as an unheated space as identified by by the Mason County Semi-heated Building Exemption Guidelines. X 17) The mechanical system for which energy consumption, performance, or mode of operation are regulated by the Washington State Energy Code (WSEC) and Ventilation And Indoor Air Quality Code (VIAQ) shall be tested to ensure that control devices, equipment and systems are calibrated, adjusted and operate in accordance with approved plans and specifications. Drawings and notes shall require commissioning in accordance with WSEC section 1416. Lighting controls shall be tested to ensure that control devices, components, equipment and systems are calibrated, adjusted and operate in accordance with the approved plans and specifications. A complete report of test procedures and results shall be prepared and filed with the owner. Drawing n e hall require commissioning in accordance with WSEC 1513.7. X 18) Accessibility desig ply to parking, signage, entrance/exit. Exit/entrances shall be provided with a landing with not more than 1/2-inch threshold height, 5-ft x 5-ft landing, and door hardware that meets or exceeds accessible requirements. Handles, pulls, latches, locks and other operable parts on accessible doors shall have a shape that is easy to grasp with one hand and does not require tight-grasping, pinching, or twisting of the wrist to operate. Ramps shall comply with ICC/ANSI 117.7, section 405 including a running slope not steeper than 1:12 and be provided with edge protection and handrails. X 19) Rooms and enclosed spaces shall have Class C interior wall and ceiling finishes or better. Class C finishes shall have a smoke developed index of 0-450 and a flam read index of 76-450. Provide classification information during inspection. X 20) Interior Lighting shall be limited to .5 watts per sq. ft. or 1800 watts. Installed lighting wattage shall be calculated using the lamp and ballast wattage. All exterior building grounds luminaires that operate at greater than 100 watts shall contain lamps having a minimum efficacy of 60 Im/W unless the luminaire is controlled by a motion sensor. The total exterior lighting power allowance for all exterior building applications is the sum of the individual lighting power densities permitted in Table 15-2. Trade-offs are allowed only among exterior lighting applications listed in WSEC Table 15-2, "Tradable S ces" section. Exterior lighting for this project shall not exceed: 690watts.
