I wanted to provide some information to consider at the meeting. This new feed store fronts on Old Belfair Hwy(OBH) and is across from the Fire Station. Please note as illustrated on the site plan, the building is situated so that the parking along the front of the proposed building will need to back out dangerously close to the southbound traffic on OBH. Can you require safer traffic circulation or more limited access to OBH for the traffic to this new land use ? The fire station access is not comparable to the proposed land use due the emergency and the less frequent nature of traffic to and from the fire station. You, as the Public Works rep., have the opportunity to contol and/or guide access onto and off from this narrow county road. Even proposing an entrance on OBH and an exit on Davis Farm Rd would provide some margin of safety for traffic circulation.
