Charell and Jim,
The Storm Drainage Report for the exercise and tanning facility at 71 Old Belfair Highway in Belfair
has been received by Public Works. The plan included four drawings. The plan was reviewed by
ALKAI Consultants for Mason County in order to speed up the review process.
A letter from ALKAI states that based on the supplied documents, ALKAI agrees that the proposed
Drainage Erosion & Pollution Prevention Report meets the Mason County permit minimum
requirements as set forth in the Washington State Department of Ecology Storm water
Management Manuals.
Based on the information provided in the Drainage Report and the letter from ALKAI Consultants,
the Drainage Report considered adequate if the applicant accepts the following conditions:
• An Operation and Maintenance Stormwater Covenant will be executed and recorded with
Mason County prior to Occupation of the Building.
• Engineer of record will provide documentation that the stormwater system was installed per
the drainage report at the completion of the project .
Comments and recommendations contained in the drainage report should be incorporated into the
site plan should made conditions for permit issuance.
Adequate erosion and sediment control features need to be implemented during land disturbing
activities to protect neighboring properties and State waters from adverse stormwater runoff
impacts. The migration or release of silty water or mud from the applicant's property will be
considered a violation of County and State water quality protection regulations.
