The construction of the permitted project is subject to inspections by the Mason County Building Department. All construction must be in conformance with the international codes as amended and adopted by Mason County. Any corrections, changes or alterations required by a Mason County Building Inspector shall be made prior to requesting additional inspections. X \�'\M 6) If the tank size is between 125 and 500 gallons you must follow these guidelines: 1. Tank is to be 10 feet from any buidling, public way or property line. 2. If the tank is exposed to probable vehicular damage, provide protective bollards. 3. All weeds, grass, brush, trash and other combustible material shall be kept a minimum of 10 feet away from LP containers. X 'MYV-"\ 7) New and replaced heating equipment shall meet the requirements of the Internation Energy Conservation Code as amended Washington State Energy Code (WSEC), and applicable sections of the IBC and IMC. All new or replaced heating equipment shall meet the efficiency requirements of WSEC C403.2.3. Those parts of heating systems that are altered or replaced shall comply with the current Washington State Energy Code (WSEC), Section C101.4.3.2. When a space-conditioning system is altered by the installation or replacement of space conditioning equipment(including replacement of the air handler, outdoor condensing unit of a split system air conditioner or heat pump, cooling or heating coil, or the furnace heat exchanger), the duct system that is connected to the new or replacement space-conditioning equipment shall be installed and sealed in accordance with C403.2.7. All new and replaced heating equipment shall comply with WSEC Section C403. Heating and design load calculations for the purpose of sizing HVAC systems are required and shall be calculated in accordance with accepted practice, including infiltration and ventilation. Provide design calculations during inspection. Referencing WSEC C403.2.7 and IMC Chapter 6, all new ducts, air handlers, filter boxes, and building cavities shall be sealed. All joints of duct systems and seams shall be made substantially air tight by means of tapes, mastics, liquid sealants, gasketing or other approved closure systems. Closure systems used with rigid fibrous glass ducts shall comply with UL181A and shall be marked 181A-P for pressure-sensitive tape, 181A-M for mastic or 181 A-H for heat-sensitive tape. Closure systems used with flexible air ducts and flexible air connectors shall comply with UL181 B and shall be marked 181 B-FX for pressure-sensitive tape or 181 B-M for mastic. Duct connections to flanges of air distribution system equipment or sheet metal fittings shall be mechanically fastened. Mechanical fasteners for use with flexible nonmetallic air ducts shall comply with UL 181 B and shall be marked 181 B-C. Crimp joints for round metal ducts shall have a contact lap of at least 1-1/2 inches (38 mm) and shall be mechanically fastened by means of at least three sheet-metal screws or rivets equally spaced around the joint. Closure systems used to seal metal ductwork shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions. Duct tape is NOT permitted as a sealant on any new duct systems. When new ducts are located in unheated spaces the ducts shall be insulated to R-8 8) All building permits shall have a final inspection performed and approved by the Mason County Building Department prior to permit expiration. The failure to request a final inspection or to obtain approval will be documented in the legal property records on file with Mason County as being non-compliant with Mason County ordinances and building regulations. X ffi YY1 9) All permits expire 180 days after permit issuance, or 180 days after the last inspection activity is performed. The Building Official may extend the time for action for a period not exceeding 180 days, upon the receipt of a written extension request indicating that circumstances beyond the control of the permit holder have prevented action from being taken. No more than one extension may be granted. X Mrn COM2014-00175 Page 3 of 6 10) All commercial kitchen hood systems shall be protected with a UL300 compliant automatic fire extinguishing system installed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and maintained as required by the 2012 International Fire Code, Building Code, and International Mechanical Code. The fire extinguishing system shall require a separate fire protection permit and approval prior to installation. The system shall be inspected and tested for proper operation at 6-month intervals unless approved otherwise. Maintenance records shall be available for inspectors during inspections. Commercial kitchen grease ducts shall be constructed in accordance with the International Mechanical Code (IMC) Section 506 with steel material 16g or better, stainless material 18g or better, or materials listed and labeled in accordance with UL1978. Kitchen grease ducts and exhaust equipment shall have a clearance to combustible construction of not less than 18-inches and a clearance to noncombustible construction and gypsum wallboard attached to noncombustible structures of not less than 6-inches. (Ref IMC 506) X W n/1 11) Makeup air shall be provided during operation of commercial kitchen exhaust systems in accordance with the 2012 International Mechanical Code Section 508. The amount of makeup air supplied to the building from all sources shall be approximately equal to the amount of exhaust exhaust air for all exhaust systems for the building withou reducing the the effectiveness of the exhaust system. The makeup air shall not have a temperature differential greater than 10 degrees Fahrenheit between the makeup air and air in the conditioned space. Makeup air systems shall be automatically controlled to start and operate simultaneously with the exhaust system. x mnn 12) This permit is approved to install 2-type I commercial kitchen hoods, an air handler for make-up air, gas outlets and ventilation fans. A separate permit shall be required for the fire suppression system required for the type I exhaust hoods. X 1��M 13) Install 2A10BC fire extinguishers throughout the building in accordance with chapter 9 of the 2012 International Fire code. The fire extinguishers shall be installed such that the extingishers are located not more than a travel distance of 75 feet in any direction and mounted no more than 60 inches above floor to the top of the unit. At least one extinguisher is required on every level or floor. - Not less than 1 type K portable fire extinguisher shall be located in the commercial kitchen area, within 30 feet of the cooking appliances and no closer than 10 feet.
