Page 1 of 6 14) The electrical system shall be installed under a separate electrical permit issued by the Washington State Department of Labor& Industries (L&I). Electrical "final" inspections must be approved by L&I prior to requesting a building final. X_14 15) In accordance with IBC 703.6, fire walls and fire barriers shall be effectively and permanently identified with signs or stenciling within the space above the c ing grid. X Ud 16) Fire extinguishers are required for this occupancy. Minimum rating of 2-A:10-B:C required. Fire extinguisher shall be located along a path of egress and spaced such that not more than 75 feet of travel distance exists between any point inside the building and an extinguisher. Extinguishers shall be located not higher than 5 feet above the finished floor. Indoor fire extinguisher cabinets shall not be equipped with locks. Extinguishers shall have a service tag verifying they have been serviced by a professional extinguisher company. If extinguisher is recently purchased, the tag inside the box ma be affixed to the extinguisher with "NEW" and the date of purchase. X V 17) Any changes in construction shall be reviewed by engineer of record and submitted in writing to the Mason County Building Department prior to construction. All engineering documents are a part of the approved set of plans and must remain attached thereto. If engineering documents are removed, approval will not be granted. In addition, a reinspection fee, based on the current fee schedule, minimum one-hour will be charged and collect d y the Mason County Building Department prior to any further inspections being performed or approvals granted. All proposed changes to "APPROVED" building plans that affect compliance with the Codes as amended and adopted, or any other Mason County ordinance or regulation, must be reviewed and approved by the Building and Planning Departments prior to construction. Failure to comply and/or removal of attached documents will result in failure of required buildi g inspections. X 112) 20) Due to the complexity of the shear wall nailing patterns and hold-down requirements contained within the engineered lateral design, a separate shear wall inspection is required for this project. This inspection should be requested and performed prior to the installation of exterior wall coverings, prior to the framing inspection, such that all shear-wall nailing patterns may be observed, and the installation of all required hold-down devices an required straps, etc. are in place in accordance with the engineer's lateral design. Prior to installation, and allowing sufficient time for review and approval, fully detailed mechanical plans shall be submitted, reviewed and approved under a separate, deferred mechanical permit application. Such mechanical plans shall include all equipment identification; types, sizes, materials; equipment sizing calculations; equipment controls; installation requirements; access and service spaces; all supply, return and exhaust duct systems, materials and sizes; economizers (required); condensation disposal piping, fuel-gas piping, fire-resistive penetration protection, duct sealing and insulation; etc. The mechanical plans shall indicate full compliance with the provisions of 2012 International Mechanical Code as well as the 2012 Washington State Energy Code. X 2) The plumbing system is to be a deferred submittal. Prior to installation of any part of the system, and allowing sufficient time for review and approval, fully detailed plumbing plans shall be submitted, reviewed and approved under a separate, deferred plumbing permit application. Such plumbing plans shall include all pipe materials, sizes, locations, grades, etc., as well as all fixture types, locations and equipment specifications. The plumbing p ns shall indicate full compliance with the provisions of the 2012 Uniform Plumbing Code.
