Dear Dr. Lyon:
This letter is in response to your Initial Review Questionnaire (IRQ), dated July 23, 2002.
You are proposing to change the use of an area upstairs from a physical therapy clinic to
a family medical practice clinic. The building is located on tax parcel 12329-43-90280
(site address 23460 NE State Route 3, Belfair).
According to the Mason County Comprehensive Plan this parcel is located in a portion of
the county that has been designated as the Belfair Urban Growth area. According to the
Mason County Development Regulations, medical clinics as these are permitted land uses
in the Urban Growth Area.
Because you are bringing in a new business into an existing location, you have completed
a Tenant Review Application. These reviews are done to ensure that everything about the
land use and the structure and services meets applicable code each time a business
changes hands or closes and a new business opens. Staff from the Building, Planning,
Health Services, and Public Works Departments, will examine existing records in order
to find out about appropriate standards and information and determine whether you need
to submit for a building application
