Rhonda,
Thanks for the quick response. For items one and two please include them in the project specifications. I like to make
sure all parties involved understand the expectations. Regarding the last item, I am discussing air barrier not air space.
Sounds like you have it covered. I will look for it on the plan sheets when I do my review.
Have a great day!

Subject: MTA Park and Ride Facility
Trish,
Patrick with SCJ Alliance asked me to follow up on a few items you had regarding the MTA Park and Ride Facility. See
items below and my responses in "Blue"
• Do we call out a sign where the stove will be that says "No cooking-for warming only" or something like that?
We can add something to the drawings prior to Bid and as a Permit Review comment item for clarification.
There is nothing shown currently on the drawings, as we need to coordinate this item with the Owner. We do
note on the Code sheet that the kitchen is not for food preparation but for warming. I agree a sign would be
good to include in the project scope.
• Commissioning Report. The project will need this for final occupancy. Is that on the plans or will it be covered in
the specs? It is in the specs and this is an Owner hired testing item. I will double check to be sure it is addressed
fully and we can add this to our Permit Review Comments.
• Air barriers. Is that on the plans? We sometimes get a mixed interpretation, so want to be sure we are talking
about the same thing. For clarification we have a weather barrier called out on the wall types and a
1
specification section just for weather barriers that acts as an air barrier. Included are sealant types and locations
within the specifications. I believe this is what you're referring to as an Air Barrier? (Sometimes Air Barrier gets
translated to Air Space-which we do not have).Just want to be sure we are on the same page.
Hopefully, this clarifies your initial questions. Let me know if you need any additional information. Hope you
have a great weekend. Looking forward to this project starting construction and working with Mason County.

and all others for compliance for the two items is needed for submittal.
I am sure you have looked at it before, here is a website that is helpful. https://wseccompliancedocuments.com/index.php

Good morning Trish,
I was conversing with Patrick of SC1 today regarding additional items needed to submit for permit. There was one
comment we were both unsure of and it related to the energy code. The notes say"What are the energy code 2
1
I
additional items?" I'm not sure what this is referring to. Can you help me to understand what the concern is and
direct me to forms or drawings where additional information is needed please ?
