Thank you for attending the pre-construction meeting today. The sign-in sheet along with the signed permit&conditions are attached to
this email. Below are some points that were discussed....
1. Building inspections will be performed by building inspector Larry Kelly. At this time fire inspections will be performed by local fire
inspector Jeromy Hicks. Building inspections are performed on TUESDAY,WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAY in the Belfair area. Larry Kelly
strongly recommended that inspection requests be made at least two days in advance of a requested inspection.
2) Special inspection reports, including soil compaction reports, need to be sent to clerical staff support member Ariane Paysee. When
received Ariane will print reports and deliver to building inspector Larry Kelly or his back-up support. Send reports to Ariane via email at
ArianeP@co.mason.wa.us. She can also receive reports via fax at(360)427-7798, Her telephone number is (360)427-9670 ext. 355. Ariane
is cc'd in this email.
3) We understand that the SPECIAL INSPECTION AUTHORIZATION form is being worked on and will be submitted soon. Please submit
prior to the footing inspection. The form is needed to identify special inspections, structural observation, and designate who will perform
the inspections.
4) Genie has contacted the auditor's office to make sure the address shown in their records is consistent with the correct address which is
111 NE Old Belfair Highway, Belfair,WA 98528.
5) Fire protection including fire sprinkler systems, automatic fire alarm system, and hood suppression systems require a separate fire
protection permit and shall be installed and approved prior to occupying the building. Contact Jeromy Hicks if you have questions.
6) Code Pros owner, Mike Barth, notified all present that he is available for questions if needed during the life of the project. Mike
performed the plan review for Mason County.
7) Discussion concerning racks, including re-purposed bookcases donated by the public. The book cases are often 5'9"and up to 8-ft in
height and do not have manufacturer installation specifications needed to identify attachment related to racks located in Seismic D2
areas. The design professional may provide attachment design in lieu of manufacturer specifications. The design, signed and sealed by the
design professional, needs to address height, load criteria,and include attachment information and details.
