The Stormwater Site Plan(SSP)prepared for the proposed commercial development of the Wolf-
Goodell property in Belfair,has been received and reviewed by Public Works.
The SSP conforms with Department of Ecology minimum stormwater runoff control standards
and Mason County discharge rate requirements commonly termed downstream erosion control
discharge rates. The second sheet of the SSP plan sheets includes Erosion and Sediment Control
notes and construction sequence which should be implemented during the course of the property
development.
Mason County employs a pre-approved Operation and Maintenance(O&M) Covenant form to
satisfy ongoing operation and maintenance of privately owned and operated stormwater control
facilities. Attached please find a copy of the form Mason County currently employs. The
applicant should be directed to complete, sign,notarize, and record the completed O&M
Covenant with the Mason County Auditor's office. This requirement of the stormwater review
and approval will be complete when Public Works has received a copy of the recorded covenant.
Briefly,the SSP prepared for the Wolf/Goodell commercial property meets minimum stormwater
control standards, and approval of the plan is recommended. Public Works should be notified
when construction begins so that the E&S features can be inspected, and notified again when the
completed stormwater facilities are complete, or near completion, so that they can be inspected
and their conformity to the approved plans verified.
