Monday, July 2,2012 9:00 A.M. KMAS Roundtable Discussion on 2013 Budget Commissioners Ring Erickson, Sheldon and Bloomfield met with Dale Hubbard from KMAS regarding the 2013 budget process. 9:20 A.M. Equipment Rental & Revolving Fund-Dave Loser&Brian Williams Commissioners Ring Erickson, Sheldon and Bloomfield were in attendance. • 2013 Equipment Rental&Revolving rates were discussed. 9:40 A.M. Financial Services-Theresia Ehrich Commissioners Ring Erickson, Sheldon and Bloomfield were in attendance. The following items were reviewed: • Distributed June 2012 CE expenditure comparison report. • Reported that Civil Service, Probation,Public Health,and Clerk budget transfers and supplemental budget requests/amounts were on a 2012 budget hearing notice. • Distributed unemployment fund information for the Commissioners to establish the 2013 rate. • Reminded Commissioners that Theresia would send out all 2013 budget worksheets, 2013 budget calendar,current RCW's and benefit rates electronically on Monday,July 9th to all departments. Responses to 2013 budget directives/instructions to be sent by Commissioners this week. 10:00 A.nn BREN '0:',� 5 A.M. 9:50 A.M. Public Works- Brian Matthews&Melissa McFadden Commissioners Ring Erickson,Sheldon and Bloomfield were in attendance. The following items were reviewed: • Request authorization for the Public Works Director to sign Supplemental Agreement 2, for the Hunter Creek Bridge project(Skokomish Valley Road, County Road Project 1829)for water main design and additional structural design services. Amount of Supplement is$50,311.00 new maximum amount payable is$231,365.70. • Signs in Park n Rides and County Facilities were discussed. 10:30 A.M. 10:05 A.M. Utilities&Waste Management -Brian Matthews&John Cunningham Commissioners Ring Erickson, Sheldon and Bloomfield were in attendance. The following items were reviewed: • Award for Belfair Sewer hook up program to Zephyr's. • Inslee Best contract for legal services for property acquisition for the Belfair Sewer. 10-.-oA5A ^". 10:15 A.M. Human Resources—Karen Jackson Commissioners Ring Erickson, Sheldon and Bloomfield were in attendance. The following items were reviewed: • Human Resources Director Resignation—submitted letter of resignation to the Commissioners and Karen advised the Board that July 25 would be her last day of employment with Mason County. • Provided summary of open projects,their status and what she hoped to achieve by July 25. Closed Session- RCW 42.30.149(4)Labor Discussion Commissioners Ring Erickson,Sheldon and Bloomfield met in Closed Session with Karen Jackson and Department Heads from 10:25 a.m.to 10:55 a.m.for a labor discussion. No action was taken.
