Monday,August 11,2014 8:30 A.M. Superior Court—Judges Sheldon&Finlay Commissioners Jeffreys,Neatherlin and Sheldon were in attendance. The following items were reviewed: • An update was provided on the court facilities. • Notice of judicial vacancy has been posted by the Office of the Governor. • Interagency with the Office of Civil Legal Aid was presented that allows for reimbursement of attorneys appointed to children pursuant to 2ESSB 6126. This will be placed on the August 26 agenda. 9:00 A.M. Closed Session—RCW 42.30.140 (4)Labor Discussion Commissioners Jeffreys,Neatherlin and Sheldon met in Closed Session with Bill Kenny from 9:00 a.m.to 9:30 a.m.for a labor discussion. 9:30 A.M. Sheriff's Office—Sheriff Salisbury Commissioners Jeffreys,Neatherlin and Sheldon were in attendance. • Supplemental budget request in the amount of$1,266,000 was presented. This includes$382,000 for the deputy labor contract, $180,000 patrol overtime,$150,000 correction overtime, $73,000 for inmate housing at City of Forks'facility and$120,000 for inmate medial. The Commissioners will address the request in 30 days. 10:00 A.M. Support Services-Bill Kenny Commissioners Jeffreys,Neatherlin and Sheldon were in attendance. • ADA Resolution update will be placed on the August 19 agenda. • Renewal of Hazard Mitigation Grant will be on the August 19 agenda. • Request for Proposals for Worker's Compensation 3rd Party Administrative Services will be on the August 19 agenda. • Scheduled briefing with Kelley McIntosh from the Public Safety& Criminal Justice Task Force on Monday, August 25 at 3 p.m. This is at request of Commissioners to receive an update. • 2015 Lodging Tax contracts for Visitor Information Centers were reviewed. They will go to the North Mason and Shelton Chamber of Commerce and after they have been signed,will be placed on a Commissioner agenda for final approval. • News release for Board of Equalization will go out that talks about the BOE process. 10:30 A.M. Clerk's Office—Ginger Brooks Commissioners Jeffreys,Neatherlin and Sheldon were in attendance. • Request to change a position that was extra help to a Clerk I part time position. This position does the majority of the scanning for the Clerk's office,which is part of the archiving process and can be paid from the Auditor's O&M funding. 10:40 A.M. BREAK 10:45 A.M. Public Works-Melissa McFadden Utilities&Waste Management-Tom Moore Commissioners Jeffreys,Neatherlin and Sheldon were in attendance. • Interlocal Agreement with MACECOM for Geographic Infonnation System Services Data Conversion. Staff will check on the reimbursable hourly billing rate and bring forward on a future agenda for approval. Board of Mason County Commissioners' Briefing Meeting Minutes August 11,2014 ® Rural Arterial Program Final Prospectus for Shelton-Matlock Road,Highland Road and North Shore Road. This will be placed on the August 19 agenda. H:15 A.M. Public Health&Human Services—Vicki Kirkpatrick Commissioners Jeffreys,Neatherlin and Sheldon were in attendance. ® Contract with ESD 113—Project Alert. This was a follow up briefing on a contract that provides classes at the Shelton School District middle and junior high schools as part of the summer school curriculum. The Board approved placing the contract on the August 19 agenda. 11:30 A.M. Executive Session—RCW 42.30.110 (1)(b)Real Estate Commissioners Jeffreys,Neatherlin and Sheldon met in Executive Session with Richard Beckman on a real estate matter. Commissioner Discussion—there was no discussion.
