September 8, 2015
1. Call to {}njer—The Chairperson called the regular meeting to order at 9:04 a.m.
2. Pledge of Allegiance— Monte Ritter led the flag salute.
3. Ru|| Call — Present: Commissioner District 1 Randy Ncatherlin; Commissioner District 2 —Tim
Sheldon was absent; CommissionerDistrict ]—TerriJeffrevs.
4. Correspondence and Organizational Business
4.1 Correspondence
4.1.1 The Deputy Mayor of Maple Valley sent a letter thanking the Commission and Sheriff
Salisbury for their support of the 2015 Summer Explorer Academy and thanked Detective
Danielle Rickard for her attendance.
4.1.2 The Fish &VVi|d|ife office announced they are opening public comment from Augusi25 to
October 26 regarding critical habitat for the marbled murre|et.
4.1.3 Gregory Waggett submitted an application for the Allyn-Belfair UGA Committee.
4.2 Cheryl Heywood introduced Jenny Gnenfc|| from North Mason Timberland Library. Ms. Heywood
gave an update on the libraries.
Cmmr. Neothedin noted that the Library offers many classes and training for small businesses.
He said the library offers more than checking out books.
4.2 Proclamation: Tammi Wright read the Proclamation for National Preparedness Month.
Cmmr. Jeffreys presented Ms. Wright with the official Proclamation.
Tammi Wright said that September 2U15 is National Preparedness Month and there will be
preparedness fair on September 19th in the VVa|mart parking lot and everyone is invited to
attend.
5. Open Forum for Citizen Input—
5.1 Monte Ritter said it is tragic that John Keahes has left Mason County although they do
appreciate the new Director Mr. Voab|e. Mr. Ritter also spoke about some proposes new
opportunities with the Vance Creek Bridge and reminded everyone that the bridge is currently
unsafe and people should not go out there.
6. Adoption uf Agenda ' Cmmr.Jeffreys/NeatherUinmoved and seconded bmadopt the agenda
as published. Motion carried. N-aye; S-absent; 3-aye.
7. Approval of Minutes — July 27 &August 10 briefing minutes and September 1 regular meeting
minutes.
Cmmr. Jeffreys/NeatherNin moved and seconded to approve the July 27 &August 10
briefing minutes and September I regular meeting minutes. Motion carried. N-aye; S-
absent; ]-aye.
8. Approval uf Action Agenda:
8.1 Approval of the Veterans Assistance Fund applications for Utilities $791.19 as recommended by
the Veterans Service Office.
8.2 Approval of Warrants:

agenda. Motion carried. N-aye; S-absent;3-aye.
9. 9:30 a.m. Public Hearings and Items Set for a Certain Time—
9.1 Public Hearing to consider the application for a Private Line Occupancy Permit for Randall
Reeve.
Melissa McFadden explained this application for a Private Line Occupancy Permit for Randall Reeve.
Cmmr. Jeffreys/Neatherlin moved and seconded to approve Item 9.1 application for a
Private Line Occupancy Permit for Randall Reeve.
Motion carried. N-aye; S-absent;3-aye.
10. Other Business (Department Heads and Elected Officials) —
Sheriff Salisbury spoke about Rachael Stuhlmiller. He said her memorial was very well attended.
The Sheriff thanked the general public for all their support.
11. Board's Reports and Calendar-The Commissioners reported on meetings attended the past week
and announced their upcoming weekly meetings.
12. Adjournment—The meeting adjourned at 9:45 a.m.
