9:00 A.M. Board of Equalization Interview
Commissioners Shutty and Jeffreys interview an applicant for the Board of Equalization.
Commissioner Neatherlin was absent.
9:15 A.M. Support Services—Frank Pinter
Commissioners Shutty and Jeffreys were in attendance. Commissioner Neatherlin was
absent.
• Grant match re-certification for the Hood Canal School District No.404 and Jacoby Park
Boat Ramp Improvements for RCO grant applications will be placed on the agenda.
• Jeff Vrable presented a brief update on the status of Pee Wee Reese World Series event.
Additional information will be provided at neat week's briefing.
• Certificate of Good Practice from the CRAB oard will be placed on the agenda for
presentation to the County Engineer.
• The Commissioners agreed to meet with Trudy from HomesFirst! and staff will provide
an update on the contract.
• Cmmr.Jeffreys asked Frank Pinter to see if there is any Current Expense funding
available for the effort to locate a YMCA in Mason County.
The Commissioners were on break from 9:30 a.m.to 9:45 a.m.
9:45 A.M. Community Services—Dave Windom
Commissioners Shutty and Jeffreys were in attendance. Commissioner Neatherlin was
absent.
• Dave presented a re-cap of the all-staff training day that was conducted last week.
• Review of the Permit Assistance Center Activity Report. The average residential
building review time is 20 days.
• The updated FEMA maps will be adopted in probably mid-summer. This timeline will
provide some flexibility if adjustments needs to be made.
• Request to schedule a public hearing to consider a rezone for Chester&Deborah Loudin.
• Discussion of Mason County projected growth rates.

10:20 A.M. Public Works—Jerry Hauth/Melissa McFadden
Utilities&Waste Management
Commissioners Shutty and Jeffreys were in attendance. Commissioner Neatherlin was
absent.
• Grapeview School District Interlocal Agreement for Public Works Department for
vehicle,road or site maintenance,engineering,survey,GIS,emergency assistance,sign
fabrication,fueling and materials supply will be placed on the agenda.
• Highway Safety Improvement Program(HSIP)Grant Application for 2017 Call for
Safety Program Projects was approved to move forward.
• Review of the Utility Agreements for Delinquent Utility Fees Installment Program.
Cmmr.Jeffreys questioned the 8%interest charge;she would prefer a lower rate. This
interest rate is established by RCW 36.94.150.

• Cmmr. Shutty stated he has been trying to schedule Telecare at a Criminal Justice d
meeting.

11:00 A.M. Noxious Weed Control—Patricia Grover
Commissioners Shutty and Jeffreys were in attendance. Commissioner Neatherlin was
absent.
• Modification#1 to the agreement with the USDA Forest Services to add$5,000 to the
program.
• There are still two vacancies on the Noxious Weed Control Board.
