1. Call to Order—The Chairperson called the regular meeting to order at 9:06 a.m.
2. Pledge of Allegiance— Cheryl Williams led the flag salute.
3. Roll Call — Present: Commissioner District 1 - Randy Neatherlin; Commissioner District 2 — Kevin
Shutty; Commissioner District 3—Terri Jeffreys.
4. Correspondence and Organizational Business
4.1 Correspondence
4.1.1 Olympic Region Clean Air Agency sent a notification that our Contribution for calendar year
2018 is $40,223.
4.1.2 United Way of Mason County sent a letter asking for a contribution of $5000.00 for
cleanup efforts towards the"Day of Caring 2017".
4.1.3 Timberland Regional Library Board sent a letter appointing Jenna Noll to fill a vacant
unexpired at-large term that runs through December 31, 2019.
4.2 News Release-Summer 2017 Mason County Heritage Grant Staff: Michael MacSems
4.3 Recognition of Shelton High School Transition Program Staff: Kelly Frazier
5. Open Forum for Citizen Input— None
6. Adoption of Agenda - Cmmr. Neatherlin/Jeffreys moved and seconded to adopt the agenda
as published. Motion carried unanimously. N-aye; S-aye;J-aye.
7. Approval of Minutes— May 22, 2017 and May 30, 2017 Briefing Minutes
Cmmr. Jeffreys/Neatherli n moved and seconded to approve the May 22, 2017 and May
30, 2017 Briefing Minutes. Motion carried unanimously. N-aye; S-aye; J-aye.
8. Approval of Action Agenda:
8.1 Approval to sign a letter to the Washington State Department of Transportation regarding US
Highway 101-Lynch Road safety improvement proposals.
8.2 Approval of Warrants
Claims Clearing Fund Warrant #s 8048930-8049146 $ 1,185,580.43
Direct Deposit Fund Warrant #s $
Salary Clearing Fund Warrant#s $
Total $ 1,185,580.43
8.3 Approval to have the Chair sign the Deed of Right for Coulter Creek Property which is
approximately 58 acres at the head of North Bay between Allyn and Victor.
8.4 Approval to set a public hearing for July 11, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. to approve an ordinance
exempting decks greater than 200 square feet from permitting.
Cmmr. Jeffreys/Neatherlin moved and seconded to approve action items 8.1 through 8.4.
Motion carried unanimously. N-aye; S-aye;J-aye.
9. Other Business (Department Heads and Elected Officials)-None
10. 9:30 a.m. Public Hearings and Items set for a certain time— No Hearings.
11. Board's Reports and Calendar -The Commissioners reported on meetings attended the past week
and announced their upcoming weekly meetings.
12. Adjournment—The meeting adjourned at 9:32 a.m.
