According the Mason County Assessor records, you are the current Title Owner and Taxpayer of this parcel. Pursuant to Mason County Ordinance 45-99, a permit for this type of activity would be required under the 1997 Uniform Building Code and your property is currently in violation status. From the information received on the complaint and notations made by the inspector during two site investigation on 07/14/03 and 07/17/03,when Stop Work Orders were posted, it appears that the work does require applicable permits. (Photos are attached) and that you additionally violated the first and second stop work orders by continuing construction which are separate violations of the Mason County Code. You were informed of this information on 7/17/03 at which time you agreed to apply for the permit by July 24, 2003. To date,there is no record of submittal as agreed. To bring your site into compliance you must either apply for and obtain a new permit for the after the fact construction or obtain a demolition permit and remove the illegal construction. Please make the necessary arrangements to apply for the required After the Fact permits within 30 days of the date of this notice or prior to September 6, 2003. ENFA900 Telephone Call 7/15/2003 None DONE JRN 7/17/2003 JRN received a call from Paul Savage,states that his correct address is 643, but the posting says 641 Old Belfair Highway. He is also annoyed that no one came to the door and knocked. He said that that he didn't build a new garage,he's just adding a carport to the side of an existing garage. He also said that he won't stop work,but will go into Belfair tomorrow to get the applications.JRN 07-15-03 ENFA900 Telephone Call 7/17/2003 None DONE JRN 7/17/2003 JRN I spoke to owner,he found the 2nd notice. He said that there was no way he could stop work until he had closed in the wall,that it was not safe without it,but now it is safe and he will stop work until he gets the permit.
