NOTIFICATION OF INCOMPLETE APPLICATION

Comments: A review of the site plan indicates that the location of the proposed
garage does not appear to meet the required 20' side yard setback.
The 20' setback is measured from the furthest projection of the
proposed structure to the property line. There are two options for this
proposal. It can be modified to meet the 20' setback requirement by
relocating or redesigning the building or a Administrative Variance can
be applied for to construct inside the setback. Please note that you
must meet the specific variance criteria to be granted the reduction. A
Variance application and a copy of the Variance standards have been
included for your convenience. If you have questions or require
clarification, please contact me.

In your request to reduce a side yard setback standard, please state which of the
following circumstances apply in your situation and illustrate these in "0 RdraD
1) existing lots of record as of March 5, 2002; MASON COUNTY
t;JDCD PLANNING
2) one of the following exists on the lot: SITE PL. r REQUIRED TO BE ON SITE
a) steep slopes, wetlands, or streams present;
b) soils that restrict building or septic development; CHA G uBJECT TO APPROVAL
c) lot width at the front yard line of no more than 59 — Date
d) lot size of no more than one-half acre;
e) existing improvements of buildings, septic systems, and well areas.
Explain how these circumstances preclude a reasonable development proposal from
meeting the 20-foot side yard setback standard for Rural Residential 2.5, 5, 10, or 20
