Notification was given to apply for the required building permits, which has been done. The building permit is presently being held in the Environmental Health Department and will not be issued until the requirements of that department have been met. A site inspection done on 1 -4-94, determined that the mobile home is still on site which is in violation of the Uniform Building Code, Section 205. In addition, it was of the opinion of the inspector that the unit is also being occupied which is in direct violation of the Uniform Building Code, Mason County Title 14 and Mason County Ordinance #138-92. A storage permit for the mobile home was issued on 4-19-93, the condition issued with this permit and signed/acknowledged by you states: This permit is for the storage only of a mobile home. This unit is not to be occupied at any time or have any utilities connected. The permit is valid for a period of sixty (60) days from the issue date. If the mobile was manufactured prior to June 15, 1976, Labor and Industries must perform an Alteration/Fire Satety Inspection. The owner has 60 days to comply with the corrections ordered by Labor and Industries and obtain occupancy approval from the Mason County Building Department. If the structure does not meet compliance with Mason County Regulations or Department of Labor and Industries Regulations pertaining to mobile within the 60 days time frame the owner is responsible for the removal of the mobile home out of Mason County. In addition, if the structure is placed in a manner that is in violation of any Mason County Regulations or Ordinances, it will be the applicants liability to correct such defect to the satisfaction of Mason County. Page 1 of 2 i a A photo copy of the permit and signed conditions has been included for your review. Since the storage permit is expired and the conditions have been violated, under these types of circumstances, the Mason County Building Department has the authority to classify the structure as a Dangerous Building and pursue legal action to order removal of the structure under the Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings or refer the file to the prosecutor's office for civil fines and action immediately. Upon receipt of this letter, YOU ARE NOTIFIED TO IMMEDIATELY VACATE THE STRUCTURE. Within 10 days of the receipt of this letter you must provide to the Mason County Environmental Health Department, the information required to process your permit and attain approval or remove the mobile home from the site. Failure to vacate the structure and meet compliance with the 10 day order will result in this file being transferred to the Mason County Prosecutor's Office for further legal action.
