Comments Field notes from 3/12/01 visit to parcel# 12316 22 00030.
Met with Mr. Smith to discuss issues associated with construction
of a pole building on property. The main concern was a Type 3
stream that runs along the South side of the property.
Measurements were taken from the stream to determine where a
pole building could be placed. The building setback from the
Type 3 stream would be a total of 165 feet per Mason County
Resource Ordinance #77-93. It was found that there would be
sufficient building envelope towards the central / rear part of the
property to accommodate the proposed pole building and meet
the 165 stream setback and side yard setback (10 feet).
Mr. Smith asked about setbacks from wells. After consultation
with Mason Co. Environmental Health Dept. it was found that this
should not be an issue, as the building setback from a single
family well is 5 feet.
