Description of Proposal :
PLACE EXISTING RAILROAD CAR BRIDGE ON NEW ABUTMENTS ON THE BANKS OF THE
UNION RIVER; LOCATION OF BRIDGE AND ABUTMENTS IS FIVE FEET UPSTREAM OF
SITE WHERE OLD BRIDGE ABUTMENTS WERE DAMAGED IN WINTER 1997 FLOODS;
RIP-RAP ROCK TO BE PLACED ALONG SHEET PILING ABUTMENTS AND TO PROTECT THE
BANKS OF THE RIVER.

probable significant adverse impact on the environment. An Environmental
Impact Statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43 .21C. 030 (2) (c) . This
decision was made after review of a completed Environmental Checklist and
other information on file with the Lead Agency. This information is
available to the public upon request. MITIGATION MEASURES ARE
ATTACHED.
