Mr. Joseph Wilson
P.O. Box 267

RE: Parcel No.: 32232-50--20018
Case No.: ENF98-0032 13 c,, an, / ,- r
Dear Mr. Wilson:
In February of this year, our office received a complaint regarding the non-approved occupancy of a
mobile/manufactured home located on the above parcel. In response to that complaint, a site investigation was
done and the unit was posted with a "Do Not Occupy" Notice. At the time of the posting, we spoke with Whitney
Wilson who indicated the unit was purchased and had been previously occupied and you were not aware of the
status of the unit.
Several attempts were made by you to contact me regarding that posting and trying to resolve the
situation. In addition, I had returned calls but was unable to connect at that time.
Complaints continue to be received by this department regarding the occupancy and we need to bring this
site into compliance.
The situation is as follows: In 1986, Harry Coles applied for and received a permit to place a 1966 12x50
mobile home on the property for use as a shop and storage unit only. I have enclosed a copy of that permit.
Apparently you purchased the property and had been led to believe that the unit was for living space. This office
has no intention of penalizing you for previous occupancy. However, prior to further occupancy, a Change of Use
permit would be required to be submitted and approved. Any occupancy at this point in time would be considered
to be in violation and this letter will act as notification to you that the unit MUST NOT BE OCCUPIED.
Enclosed are the necessary permit applications to complete. It might be beneficial for you or your
designated representative to try and set up a meeting with me at the time of submittal. I know in the past that we
have not been able to connect over the phone. If you would like to meet, perhaps you could try to contact me at
(360)427-9670, ext 356 or 355. In the even that you get my voice mail, if you could leave a convenient time and
date a few days in advance, I could confirm that on your home answering machine.
I will be out of the office until Tuesday July 7, 1998. 1 am available From 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. most
days. The purpose for calling a few days in advance is that sometimes I go on field inspections and attend quite a
few meetings. I look forward to meeting with you to clear up this matter.
Sincerely,
Tami Griffe
