Proper erosion and sediment control practices must be used on the construction site and adjacent areas to prevent upland sediments from entering the aquatic environment. Erosion control measures must be in place prior to any clearing, grading, or construction. These control measures must be effective to prevent soil from being carried into surface water by stormwater runoff. Any discharge of sediment-laden runoff or other pollutants to waters of the state is in violation of state regulations.Any work in or adjacent to waterways that will adversely affect water quality must receive specific prior authorization from the Department of Ecology.Silt fencing, straw matting, etc. must be installed and maintained until seeding or upland vegetation has become established around all areas disturbed or newly created by construction activities. The Washington State Clean Air Act prohibits the burning of any construction or demolition debris in an outdoor fire. The failure to request a final inspection or to obtain approval will be documented in the legal property records on file with Mason County as being non-compliant with Mason County ordinances and building regulations. * All construction debris must be removed from the site after project completion to an approved location. Proper disposal of construction debris must be on land in such a manner that debris cannot enter or cause water quality degradation of aquatic environments. * RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT IN FLOOD HAZARD VE ZONE. This project is approved demolish a dwelling structure. Any new structure located in the VE Flood Zone must meet elevation and construction requirement for the new structure. In accordance with the Mason County Flood Damage Ordinance and the 2018 International Residential Code Section R322 any new structure located in a VE Zone must be built on post and pier. The structure would be required to be elevated at least one foot(1'0")above the Base Flood Elevation (BFE)to the bottom of the lowest support member. The design professional/surveyor who prepared the Elevation Certificate must perform an inspection for the placement of the support members to provide a letter of verification to Mason County verifying the elevation requirements will be met. I hereby certify that I have read and examined this application and know the same to be true and correct. All provisions of Laws and Ordinances governing this type of work will be complied with whether specified herein or not.
