It is our understanding that the bulkhead was constructed under an emergency status and that you are currently obtaining the necessary permits for the bulkhead. We previously prepared design calculations and a detail for the bulkhead dated January 19, 2024 but the County has requested verification that the as- built conditions meet the provided design criteria. During our site visit we measured the bulkhead height in several places and noted it averaged 6 feet in height. The top rock was easily measured and ranged from 30 to 36 inches in depth. Bottom rocks were more difficult to measure but appeared to be at least 3 feet in depth. Toe bury was confirmed to be approximately 18 inches. Given the inherent variable nature of measuring the stone sizes of a large rock bulkhead it is our opinion that the as-built condition of the bulkhead meets or exceeds the provided engineering calculations and details. We trust this is sufficient for your current needs. Should you have any questions,or require additional information, please contact us at your earliest convenience.
