* 2. STORM WATER& EROSION CONTROL
Escape of silty water or mud from this property shall be considered a violation of County and State storm water management
regulations and could subject the applicant(s)to civil fines or penalties.All American Geotechnical has prescribed stormwatef
control and erosion abetment measures, which shall be adhered to by the applicant.
No more than 32,670 sq.ft of contiguous ground disturbance for development purposes, and no more than 5,000 sq. ft. of
contiguous new impervious surfaces (not including roofs) is allowed without an engineered stormwater and erosion control
plan. At minimum,the applicant shall provide a Minimum Requirements 1-5 narrative prior to permit issuance.
The erosion and stormwater facilities shown on this plan (if any)are the minimum requirements for anticipated site
conditions. These facilities shall be upgraded as needed for unexpected storm events and to ensure that sediment and
sediment-laden water do not leave the site.
* 3. FLAGGING
All harvest unit boundaries to be flagged at visible intervals.
* 4. HOURS OF OPERATION
Noise associated with this application shall not exceed what is allowed under Mason County Code 9.36. Harvest operations
shall start no earlier than 7:00 AM and shall end before 8:00 PM on a daily basis.
* 5. SLASH ABATEMENT
This Forest Practice Application indicates that forest debris resulting from the proposed logging operation may create an
extreme fire hazard under RCW 76.04.600 and WAC 332-24-650.An extreme fire hazard could be created if one or more of
the conditions found in WAC 332-24-650 is located within 100 feet of the running surface of a public road; or is within 500 of
an existing structure and/or designated public use area,which is not owned by the owner of the fire hazard area.
The land owner is fully liable in the event of fire, if he or she fails to appropriately abate the hazard. Extreme fire hazards
shall be abated by removing the forest debris, or by other means approved by the Washington State Department of Natural
Resources (DNR).

Per Mason County Ordinance 11.05, Section 11.05.120,a site map shall accompany this application which includes the
following information.
I Harvest boundaries and tree retention areas.
II The approximate location of any structures.
III The location of all existing and proposed streets,right-of-ways,easements,skid roads,haul roads,and landings
within the proposal.
IV The location of future land development including stormwater management facilities and vegetation to be retained
for site landscaping,open space,wildlife habitat, screening,and/or buffers.
V Site topography at contour intervals of 40 feet.
VI Critical areas and critical area buffers regulated pursuant to the Critical Areas Ordinance.
VU Drainage ways and culverts.
VIII Site area targeted for further harvest including proposed timing.
IX North arrow and scale shall be shown on all site plans.The scale shall be no smaller than one inch to 200 feet.

NOTE: Copies of all FPA Applications will be forwarded to Mason County Public Works for stormwater and erosion
control review.Projects which disturb more than one acre(regardless of total lot size)will require an engineered
stormwater plan consistent with the Mason County Stormwater Ordinance(Chapter 14.48.)and the 2012 WSDOE
Stormwater Manual.Applicants will be charged for Public Works staff time to review these plans and applications.
Property owners should also be aware that the Washington State Department of Ecology(WSDOE)might ask for a
NPDES(National Pollution Discharge Elimination System)Permit.The threshold for such a permit is equivalent to
Mason County's threshold. WSDOE will notify applicants through SEPA review if a NPDES is required.An NPDES is
not a perquisite for FPA approval. It is the responsibility of the applicant to obtain this permit when required.

Mason County has reviewed the above referenced application for Class IV General Forest
Practices and finds it in conformance with all applicable County land use regulations in
effect at the time of application.
FINDINGS
The proposed FPA is compliant with the following conditions:
The proponent has paid the prescribed fees.
The proponent has filed a complete, signed application.
A map has been received that complies with the requirements of 11.05.120:
(I) Harvest boundaries and tree retention areas.

Southerland/Turner FPA Minimum Requirements 1 -5
Requirement #2 SWPPP Element 1
Property corners have been surveyed and marked with white stakes. The cleaning limits
have been marked with orange surveying tape. No sensitive areas.
Element 2:
Access will be on the east side of the property coming from a dirt road easement. We will
have the first 50 feet of our rood access graveled.
Element 3:
Not applicable due to slight slope of the property and large vegetated buffer situated along
down sloping side of property.
Element 4:
No soils will be removed.
Element 5:
Not applicable. There will be no cut and fill slopes. Any soil stock piled will be covered.
There are no storm drain inlets, water ways or drainage channels on or near property.

Not applicable. There will be no cut and fill slopes.

Not applicable. We will not be adding any culverts or drainage ditches. Easement road will
be kept clean of sediment.

There has been no visible water run off or standing water. There will be a minimum of 50
foot natural vegetation buffer kept for drainage and sediment control.
