The Addendum report prepared for the proposed garage located at 7857 E. Grapeview Loop
Road Allyn, has been received and reviewed by Public Works.
The author recommended a building setback of 12 feet of the proposed garage in the southern
slope and if the slope toe will be cut, the author recommended a 15 feet building setback. The
author also concluded that the proposed garage location is stable. I recommend accepting the
addendum report as satisfying the requirements for stability investigation.

As requested, we have performed a site inspection of the above referenced parcel on March 2,2006. The proposed
garage location was inspected in regards to slope stability and setback distances. The Droposed building locatiop- i-
currently 50 feet from the western descending slope. The proposed building location is also 12 feet from the
^uthern ascending slope. Due to the nature of the elaeial material (well-cemented glacial till), we conclude the
proposed garage building location is acceptable. If the southern slope toe is cut into, we then recommend a
building setback of 15 feet.

The Geotechnical report prepared for the proposed single family residence located at 7857 E. Grapeview
Loop Road Allyn, has been received and reviewed by Public Works.
The report appears to satisfactorily address county requirements for geotechnical reporting. The area of
the proposed home sites will become relatively flat, and to the east of the property has a slope of more
than 30%. Base from the evaluation of the author, the site is stable and the development will not cause
stability problems, either the subject property or the neighboring properties. A 45 feet building setback
was recommended from the eastern down slope area. Surface drainage should be directed away from all
slope faces. Runoff should be controlled by system of drainage swales and allowed to infiltrate into the
-oil by natural means. The author recommended no removal of natural vegetations and trees on the
astern slope. Other recommendations and stormwater management features should be incorporated to
the site development plan.
I recommend accepting the report as satisfying the county's requirement(s) for stability investigation and
geotechnical reporting for the proposed house only. There is no enough writings or report with regards to
the slope at the southern portion of the property, near the proposed garage. I do not have enough
information to evaluate the proposed garage.
Adequate Erosion and Sediment (E&S) control features need to be implemented during land disturbing
activities to protect neighboring properties and State waters from adverse stormwater runoff impacts. The
migration or release of silty water or mud from the applicant's property will be considered a violation of
County and State water quality protection regulations.
