Re: Alderbrook Inn
Dear Del:
Our recent conversation indicated that the Alderbrook Inn will
be completely sprinklered and that I.S.O. requirements for hydrants
and fire flow will be met.
If you meet I.S.O. fire flow requirements you will be allowed
a one-third increase in floor area.
You may use the sprinkler system for either of the following!
substitutions:
1. Fire Resistive Exterior !Falls
2. Height
3. Araa
You must maintain the area wall if you choose 1 or 2. In any
case you must maintain the one-Hour horizontal separation above the
A.2.1. Also, please be advised that the use of sprinklers does
not allow for alterations or such other changes after the building;
is occupied without a review of plans by this office.
This office will require a letter or some form of certification
indicating I.S.U. requirements have been met acid the system approved.
You have the approval of this office to begin with site work
and, as soon as you obtain health Department approval building permits
can be issued.
Prior conversations have indicated that the underground gasoline
tanks will be removed. A permit from this office is required for this
prior to excavation for removal.
Sincerely,
IVictor A. Paolino,
Deputy Fire Marshal
