RE: Geotechnical Final Inspection for Property Located at Tax Parcel Number 32236 75

Dear Mr. Larson,
Envirotech Engineering (Envirotech) completed a site visit and conclusions for the completed
construction of a new single family residential structure located at the referenced tax parcel
number. Multiple site visits were conducted for this project, with the most recent on December
17, 2010. Information pertaining to the project was provided by Mr. Larson, owner of the
referenced property. Information collected from site observations, and field testing was
completed by Michael Staten, P.E. with Envirotech.
This inspection letter is to certify that all recommendations were adhered to as presented in the
Geotechnical Report for this property that was prepared by Envirotech, dated May 19, 2010.
Foundation certification was previously provided by Envirotech in a letter dated July 29, 2010.
This letter included certifying adequate earthwork construction, and the proper placement of
structural footings.
Temporary and permanent erosion control appears to meet the intent of the geotechnical report.
Although the cut slope behind the residence is exposed, the area is relatively small, the surface
soils are coarse which inhibit erosion, and the areas downslope are adequately stabilized to
prevent sediments from leaving the property.
Building setbacks and vegetation buffers conform to the direction of the geotechnical report.
Buildings were not constructed, or the removal of vegetation was not completed on slopes
exceeding 40% grades.
Drainage recommendations appeared to be adequately addressed for this property. Two
infiltration trenches for roof and foundation runoff appear to be sized and placed in accordance
with the geotechnical report.

Dear Mr. Larson,
Envirotech Engineering (Envirotech) completed a site visit and conclusions for the planned
foundation bearing strata for a typical single family residential structure located at the
referenced address. The site visit was conducted on July 29, 2010 in order to observe the soil
conditions, and assess the suitability of the founding soils for use as bearing strata. Information
pertaining to the project was provided by Mr. Larson, owner of the referenced property.
Information collected from site observations, and field testing was completed by Michael Staten
with Envirotech.
The foundation bearing soils appear to be entirely on relatively undisturbed native soils. These
soils were primarily a Silty Sand with Gravel (SM) and Poorly Graded Sand with Gravel (SP) as
determined in the geotechnical report for this property. The bearing stratum was field measured
to be dense. Relative density was assessed by measuring the resistance of hand tools within
several locations of the planned building pad.
It is concluded that the existing bearing soils and conditions are suitable for a structural
pressure of no more than 1500 psf for continuous foundation widths of at least 16
inches. The foundation system may undergo a maximum of 1.0 inch total settlement, and a
maximum differential settlement of 0.75 inch. The conclusions presented above were derived
from engineering judgment using geotechnical standards in conjunction with the information
collected from the site visit and owner of the Project. Excessive free moisture should be
prevented from entering the foundation excavation prior to the placement of concrete. If
excessive moisture is permitted within the excavation, or the founding subgrade is significantly
disturbed prior to constructing the concrete footings, an additional geotechnical inspection is
required.
