CONDITIONS OF THIS DETERMINATION
1) Residential developers and individuals shall be required to control erosion during
construction. Removal of vegetation should be minimized and any areas disturbed should
be restored to prevent erosion and other environmental
impacts.X
2) All future development of the proposed site will be subject to the conditions that are listed.
However, this does not exempt future proposals from further review through the SEPA
process.
3) Water quality is not to be degraded to the detriment of the aquatic environment as a result
of this project. X
4) Debris or deleterious material resulting from construction shall be removed from the beach
area and project site and shall not be allowed to enter waters of the State.

5) A Hydraulic Project Approval from the Washington State Department of Wildlife must be
granted prior to construction. X
6) The applicant acknowledges that this development was sited such that further shore
protection measures will not be required for protection of the facility.

7) The proposed project must be consistent with all applicable policies and other provisions of
the Shoreline Management Act, its rules, and the Mason County Shoreline Master
Program.X
8) Work must be done in the dry to help prevent disturbance of unstable soil layers and
uncontrollable mass wasting.

<J� We will be installing a soft armor bank stabilization system. To do this there will be a
step by step process that we will use.
• We will start by installing a silt fence just above the Mean higher high water mark to
contain any soils that loosen or are carried in during the duration of the project.
• We will then install a temporary working road of smell rip rap(which will be
removed upon completion) to access the work area
• Next we will install 3 kelly block anchors to each property to act as anchors for the
logs and root structures.
• Then simultaneously we will incorporate approved gravel (up to three inches) and
logs with root structure.
• When we get back to the access road we will remove rip rap and finish final gravel.
• Finally we will remove silt fence along with any silt that becomes trapped there.
• Throughout the duration of the job we will use extra caution protecting the
environment from harm, We will operate in a neat and orderly manner consistent
with all environmental policies.
