Curtis Cushman is an Engineer that works for GTL and was in contact with Russell LaForce's the reviewer for the County. Contact Curtis Cushman @ ccushman@geotechnicaltestingl and see if he responded to Russell LaForce's questions from the a-mails dated 3/3/07 and 3/4/07. Below are the outstanding issues that need to be addressed by GTL. 1. A short history of landslide activity in the area is needed. 2. No landslide hazard area buffers were shown or mentioned. Please include or explain why no buffer is needed. 3. What is meant by collected grab sample? Does it mean the grab sample was from different depths? 4. The cross-section shows gravelly sand over sandy gravel,but the boring shows SW with gravel over GW. Can you resolve this? 5. The seep area was mentioned in the report,but not modeled in the stability analysis. 6. The stability analysis should also include modeling upslope of the addition. 7. The site plan scale mentions the scale is 1 inch to 200 feet,but the site itself appears to be 1 inch=100 feet. 8. A note should be added to the site plan that soil erosion and control plan is needed. 9. Could you recheck the cohesion values used for the lower soil unit as the soil units in the stability analysis do not exactly agree with the ones from the boring?
