Residence is located at the top of a steep slope regulated under the provisions of the Landslide Hazard Area Chapter 17.01.100 of the Mason County Resource Ordinance. Development within 250 feet of steep slopes (in this case greater than 40%) requires completion of a project-specific geotechnical report by an engineer licensed in the state of washington with specific knowledge and experience in local soils and geology. We have enclosed a copy of the chapter, and highlighted the areas to be addressed. The report will need to conform to the provisions of the chapter and address the proposed development, and site treatment during and post-construction. i r Ei I t i i i 1 3/1/02 2 of 2 RLC2002-00009
