As part of this department ' s review on your permit application, a
Shoreline (SPI) site inspection was performed on your property. Below you
will find comments made regarding the proposed development and it ' s
critical values .
In some cases, setbacks for development from shorelines, steep slopes,
streams, and wetlands must be included in your specific proposal; these
setbacks are included as part of the comments listed below. �I

COMMENTS:
Site is shorelines jurisdiction Urban Residential. Proposal to replace
tw existing concrete pilings under house on beach side would be exempt
from a Substantial Development Permit as this is normal maintenance and
repair of an existing non-conforming structure. Expansion of a
non-conforming structure is prohibited under the Shorelines Master
Program. Because this project requires activity below the high water
line, a Mason County (SEPA) checklist is required as well as Hydraulic
Project Application approval through the State Department of Fish and
Wildlife. Forms are enclosed. Th Environmental Checklist should be
returned to Planning when completed.
