Below you will find comments made regarding the proposed development and it ' s critical values . Proposal to replace tw existing concrete pilings under house on beach side would be exempt from a Substantial Development Permit as this is normal maintenance and repair of an existing non-conforming structure. Expansion of a non-conforming structure is prohibited under the Shorelines Master Program. Because this project requires activity below the high water line, a Mason County (SEPA) checklist is required as well as Hydraulic Project Application approval through the State Department of Fish and Wildlife.
