Project Description:
Restore vegetation in wetland and wetland buffer following the removal of quarry
spalls and ditching in the wetland and downhill from wetland.
The following critical areas are present on this property:

This permit, with conditions, is granted pursuant to the Mason County Resource Ordinance
(Chapter 17.01 MCC.) Nothing in this permit shall excuse the applicant from compliance with
any other federal, state, or local statutes, ordinances, or regulations applicable to this project.
This permit may be rescinded if the permitee fails to complete the project as proposed or fails
to comply with Pe standards of this ordinance.

Conditions:
1.) Approved per dimensions and setbacks on submitted site plan included in the wetland
restoration plan dated April 2010 by The Wetland Corps.

2.) As noted in the Wetland Restoration Plan (April 2010):
A) Remove quarry spalls and fill at edge of wetland; and regrade the slope bank to one ft.
vertical to 4 ft. horizontal profile, using excavated left nearby.
B}Backfill two ditches located to the east and northeast of wetland edge, using excavated
left nearby.
C) Plantings in accordance with restoration plan:
1) 10 trees and 30 shrubs in wetland buffer area.
2) 24 trees in wetland buffer area. yb&'
3) 18 trees in the wetland area.
3.) Monitoring of the installed vegetation will be performed annually for three years following
installation. Monitoring will entail inspection of each planted specimen for survival and
vigor, and will be performed in August or September of each monitoring year. In addition,
two photo points will be established that portray the planting area from each side of the
property. A brief letter report summarizing monitoring findings will be submitted to Mason
County Planning by 1 Oct of each monitoring year.
