RE: Permit No. 15023 and 15024
Dear Mr. Chafe:
Inspection of the residence on September 10, 1984, at 2: 10 p.m. ,
disclosed the following code violations:
1. hurricane clips as required by County Ordinance;
2. no approved hangers on jack rafters at entry;
3. roof on entire building needs ventilation;
4. door from garage to entry has no header;
5. doorway on west side has no trimmers;
6. TI-II siding requires nailing backing at joints.
A more complete inspection would be required to establish defects, if
any, in attic framing.
New roof system was designed by Harold Sargent of Olympia, however,
no appproval was received from the Mason County Building department for
change in design.
It is my understanding the contractor did not follow Sargent's design
after obtaining same.
