Dear Mr. Manassee:
We have received and reviewed the building application permit for a project that
borders SR 106 and offer the following comments:
We have no objection to the building permit being granted for construction of a garage.
However, reviewing our files we find there is no access permit on file for the
proponent's road approach. We require the proponent to secure an access connection
permit from the Department of Transportation. For permit information please contact
Casey McGill, our Area 2 Maintenance Superintendent in Port Orchard at (206) 895-
4753.
Surface water runoff directed to the state highway right-of-way must not exceed pre-
development runoff.
The Department will not be responsible for noise attenuation if the subject property
experiences noise levels in excess of the maximum allowed for the proposed land use.
Advertising signs visible from an adjacent State highway must comply with the State
Scenic Vistas Act of 1971, which is administered by the Department. For information
regarding the signing regulations, please contact Jack Smith in District 3 Traffic
Operations office at (206) 357-2644.
