(See attached Site plan) The build able piece of the property is 75' wide x approx. 96' long (from State Hwy 106 to a steep hill at the rear of the property). There is a community (class B) well on the property. A new septic design has been approved to provide improved waste handling for the new house. The planned drain field placement is the optimal location to maximize the distance from the well, within the build able portion of the property. A setback variance has been requested and approved to reduce the distance from the drain field to the property line (to 2') and distance between the drain field and foundation (to 9') on the west side of the new house. The width, placement and setbacks of the drain field, plus the width of the new house (49') only leave 5' available for setback from the east side of the house to the east property line. (It should be noted that there was a small porch on the existing house which extended to within less than 3' of the property line, so this request is actually an improvement from the current situation.)
