Box 1344 Belfair , WA .98528 Mr . Holtcamp, A "Stop Work" Order and a Correction Notice were posted at 9032 Hwy . 106 in Union today. This is to inform you and the owner of the property , Kathleen Hicks, that the wood piles are forward of the 15 ' setback line and therefore in violation of the Mason County Shoreline Master Program regulations . I have enclosed the Residential section of the Program. The setback for your lot is 15 ' or the common line whichever is stricter and in this case the 15 ' setback requirement applies . The wood piles within 15 ' of your bulkhead should be removed . Also, anything over 30" tall must be 5 " from the side property lines. This includes the wood piles on the side property lines and they should either be removed or kept under 30" tall above grade level . If it is not removed within 30 days of the date of this letter a citation will be issued . Please see attached Chapter 7.32 of the Shoreline Master Program for Mason County which addresses enforcement and penalties. Your cooperation will be appreciated . Thank you .
